Membership is open to all patients who have undergone open heart surgery. Most members have had heart surgery at the Northern General Hospital and live in Sheffield and the surrounding districts of Barnsley, Rotherham, Chesterfield and Doncaster. Members join for different reasons,
- as part of the Volunteer Team
- as a committee member
- to make new friendships and join in socially as and when
- to support SHOC as a paid-up member and keep in touch via the newsletter.
At whatever level all members are welcome.
HOW TO JOIN
The cost of membership is £5 a year payable by standing order, bank transfer or cheque (made out to Sheffield Open Heart Club). You can join SHOC by contacting the membership Secretary (Rodney Godber) who can provide more information and details. Email
